FORM
The next stage
was to think about the word “Form” and I
have associated it with the Foetus which is in
line with different words such as formation, changing forms, concepts of
creation, etc.
•I hence worked
out on several sketches before moving on to the clay work…

The Clay Work. (local clay), 22cm by 6cm by 4 cm.

Different angles..
Integrating all..
REFLECTIONS ON TASK TWO..
This work is
still incomplete in the sense that I feel that I could have explored further
possibilities for the clay work.
Personally, I
feel that the clay work does not fit in with the other parts of the work as a
whole and I should have experimented with further possibilities such as 3D
paper sculptures or even carving on blocks. Also, the contrast of the roughness
of the technique for the clay sculpture does not melt in/blend with the other
parts of the work.
The work
executed for the Making Day can fit in to some extent and this possibility
could be explored.
Two Questions..
•How do you find the art piece as a whole? Do you feel
that all the elements integrate themselves or do you feel that some elements
stand out/are more forceful than others?
•In a contemporary art context, where would this kind
of work/experiment be “Framed”?
